AGRICULTURE : The global, noble and eternal

Agriculture came into existence when human being stopped gathering of food and hunting, settled down for cultivating some crops, around 12000 years ago. Now the same has become major contributors to countries economy and still accounting for 4% of world's GDP and more than 25% of it in developing countries. During its evolutionary journey, farming imbibed plethora of ideas, innovations, techniques and practices. Even in the current era of glittering other sectors, agriculture still has to play greater role to meet the food and nutritional security of world's growing population. Current scenario is still challenging with resources like land and water are becoming scarce and climate change is posing threat.
